It seems like November will be a month full of festivals and concerts.
The first one on the list is the 24th annual ” Makfest”. It will take place in Stip from the 5th till the 7th. The first and second night of the festival will be the semi-finals. The winners of these nights will go to the finals on the 7th of November. During the festival, the audience will have a chance to hear 23 new songs. Also, several esteemed pop singers will preform classic Makfest award winning songs in the non-competition portion of the festival.
The host will be Vera Jankovic and the special guest stars will be the ‘Vlatko Stefanovski-Trio’, who will also have a whole concert after the festival.
Skopje, on the 5th and 6th of November, will have the honor
of hosting one of the most loved singers from Ex Yugoslavia, Oliver Dragoevic. After a breaking for several years, the singer of the great hits such as” Galebe” , “Skandalina ” , “Oprosti mi pape ” and ” Guliver”, will have two concerts in Universal Hall.This Croatian singer is one of the favorites to the female audience of Macedonia.
On the night of the 11th, Skopje again will be the center of happenings. Starting from 8am, in the MNT( Macedonian National Theatre), the admirers of performing arts will have a chance to see one of the best Macedonian actors, Nikola Ristanovski, in the award winning performance ” Dervish and Death” by Mesa Selimovic and directed by Egon Savin. Nikola Ristanovksi has won four awards for his role in this play in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the prestigious Steriina award in.
On the same night, in the sports hall ” Boris Trajvkovski ” the lovers of electronic music will have a chance to hear UNDERWORLD, one of the best bands in the world for this style of music. The tickets can be bought at the music shop, Jugoton, and will cost 1000 denars.
The musichop, Jugoton, also will be selling tickets for the concert of Grammy award winning Canadian jazz pianist and singer, Diana Krall. The concert in Skopje is part of her European tour. Some of her more successful albums are ” When I look in your eyes “, Why should I care ” and “From this moment on “.
The concert will be on the 20th of Novmber in the Universal Hall. The price of admission is 3.600 denars.
The citizens of Skopje will have the honor of hosting a great giant in the world of art. Through the whole month of November in the ” National Museum of Contemporary Art” there will be an exhibition for Salvador Dali. The exhibition contains more than 200 graphics, sculptures and ceramics from this controversial Spanish artist .
